Personal
Profile
I am a keen hard working Sailor looking
for a Deckhand position where I can utilise my current skills while learning
new ones. My aim is to eventually be able to do everything on the yacht. I have
completed my Day Skipper and followed that through with two long Distance 2000-4000nm
Deliveries, first one a pogo 10.50 sailing yacht from St Malo to Sete and the
second a Lagoon 45o from Les Sable to Tortola across the Atlantic so therefore
I have plenty experience with lines and solo watches. Before I came into the yachting industry I spent four
years gaining skills and qualifications in Outdoor Pursuits through Higher
Education, work place experience, and employment. I have practical experience
across a wide range of outdoor activities such as kayaking, canoeing, climbing,
caving, skiing etc, and have specific Instructor experience in water-based
sports. This experience has developed
within me a keen understanding of transferable skill sets such as the
importance of team work, patience, safety consciousness and above all
reliability, also a great knowledge of knots and team building activities.
